Without changing any mechanical details, I was challenged to understand the user experience of paying for parking on the streets of Chicago and re-design the interface for payment at the meter. My philosophy was "Simplify and Unify" so drivers know all the information they need to choose their parking spot and make payments quickly.

The image on the right is my final redesign. I wanted to emphasize the process of paying for the parking meter in explicit steps, as well as conditions for parking so that newcomers to the city will not have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to pay.
